Book #1: Created to be His Help Meet
My current study is a book by Debi Pearl, Created to be His Help Meet. I am liking it so far, it has been an encouragement and confirmation of my already held convictions about women and motherhood. I did see one comment I was not so sure of, but had nothing to do with the main idea of the study and will probably be asked about later.
Anyway, I was in chapter 12, By Divine Appointment, and was asked to do this for my husband:
Jot down three things about your appearance that you can change, which he is sure to like.
Ok! So as I contemplated and thought I was doing a pretty good job already.
"Hmmm...My hair is long and I don't wear alot of make-up, he likes that. I get out of my pj's in the morning, I think he likes that. I could lose a few pounds, and look slimmer. I know, I think I will wear something fun tonight!"
Before I officially decided my three things I asked Mikko.
"Hmmm..." he says, "Your hair is long, you look slim, I think you do a fine job keeping yourself healthy and good lookin'!"
"Whew!" I thought. Cool, check that off my list. So after we ate lunch we put the kids down for nap and I did some last minute newsletter stuff in the office and in comes Mikko.
"Hey, Baby, I know how you can change your appearance!"
"How?" I ask.
"Take your clothes off!"
Need I say more...
