Falling, ER, and Hockey Replays

Just told the mother's study that I tend to me more like a Martha than one at Jesus Feet. It is easier for me to do-d0-do. Really. I know what is best, I believe I wrote about this before. Therefore, there must be a pattern.

The following day I was cleaning the bathrooms because we were expecting Dr. Helen again (By the way, you rock girlfriend, thanks for all that English tea!). Being the pregnant woman that I am, I realized I really wanted to clean the drain. This means, lifting the drain screen, getting a glove and pulling out all that hair and who knows what.

But first a knife. So I jump over the trash can and training potty set outside the bathroom and totally slip on my hand and tail bone. HARD. Yes, HARD.

Hearing my grandma Mary, as if she were standing over me say, "Don't ever get up right away if you fall!" Okay, Grandma, Okay...

"B, get mommies phone please." (sobbing in my words).

"Okay mommy,"

Call neighbor, just want her to see if I am really okay. That's all.

B opens the door for her, and she checks on me.

"Where is Mikko?"

"I don't know"

"Did you fall on your head?"

"I don't think so..."

She goes on to explain that my placenta (now I know what that is in Finnish) may have detached and I should go to the hospital to get it checked. She even told my our other neighbor and so she called me and made me promise her I would go.

Great, needless to say, Mikko took me to the hospital while Dr. Helen and Dr. Ibrat watched the boys. Thinking we were going to be there only one hour, 2 and half hours later we go home.

The visit:
Heartbeat read, that was good.

Send us to a different waiting room and end up watching a whole episode of ER and Hockey replays. Poor Mikko was so exhausted he laid length wise on the sofa resting his head on my lap. I was fine. Not sure about the gal next to me practicing her breathing through frequent contractions texting someone at the same time. I am sure this scene must have looked quite funny.

We finally get checked by the doctor. Inside was fine (thank goodness), and ultrasound was fine. She says the baby is small considering I have had big babies, about 850 grams. She basically said, it was good I came, but there was no bleeding or contractions, baby is moving and...at least the bathroom is clean.

Pray I come to be more like Mary, sitting at Jesus feet. What blew me away tonight was when I was reading to the boys out of there Big Picture Bible at the end. There was Jesus on the throne and people surrounding him. B pointed at a lady sitting below Jesus kissing his feet.

"Look, it's mommy."

Wow, what little children see. I don't understand. But I pray I will learn.
