Stop a Moment:Stomach Cancer

Remember around the world ya'll, when you stop and talk to the Father. Grant that I may have wisdom and discernment in ministering to my precious neighbor who has lost her mother to stomach cancer. This is new for me, my neighbor is in our group that meets weekly with other mothers. I love her, and on our way to agm, she texted me to say her mother died. I am deeply sad, it was so quick. My girlfriend died three years ago of pancreas cancer within a month. No one knew, and she barely had any blood family there at her funeral, but a grip of us friends.

I don't have the book with me, but you can find it here. The John Piper book, Don't Waste Your Life, mentioned the importance of supporting Cancer CURES more than just research. More money is put into AIDS projects than finding cures for cancer. More money was put into Vietnam than for what is put into looking for Cancer CURES.
