1001 Things it Means To Be a Mom (The Good, The Bad, and The Smelly)
In this little book, by Harry H. Harrison Jr., that my mother gave me, I found something so true for me right now.
"#794. Being a mom means excercising at 6:00 a.m. while your kids are still sleeping."
Today I fed Priscilla around 5:15 a.m. got ready for the gym and slipped out the door. I need to move my tukkus or I'll be mean mommy if I don't. Oxygen to the brain really helps!
Mikko has been so overloaded with responsibilities that it was probably best for me to go then and take care of the kiddos when I got home so he could catch-up.
He sure is a great husband. I feel bad that I don't know how to drive a stick shift, anyone want to come over and teach me? Female preferably please...that means he runs alot of errands for me and even chofers us around town.
He works hard to protect his family, spend time with us and quality time with the boys. I hope he can relax during our trip to see mummo. She turns 90! When he left the house today, he had piles of stuff in his hands. I asked what he was up to (wrong question), and realized I probably shouldn't have asked. He is overwhelmed. Pray for him please!
He studies, prepares sermons, meets folks for coffee, disciples young men, evangelizes, preaches, he is the set-up team (well now B joins him Sundays), and so many other things! But he is also smart and knows when to slow down and take a break (hence taking time out to go see mummo and play in the snow with us!). I could learn alot from him, Love you babe.
