Back in the Summer Swing of Things

Greece was great! We are ever grateful for those who pray for us and support us. Our first week we were with collegues for refereshment, music worship, great preaching, fellowship, etc. Our field is changing and revamping what they are doing so it was also saying goodbyes to the old field. The auction did well, and Mikko bugged me to do this one skit for the talent show. I was so nervous I forgot to speak into the microphone...embaressing. Nevertheless, the boys enjoyed every moment with their class and the volunteers surely loved them. Wish I could show you the video of Barnabas performing with his class. He did awesome, so proud of God!

On a sad note, I lost my camera. Possibly stolen...boo. Also, Mikko caught a guy with the theif's hand in his pocket. Couldn't believe Mikko asked, "Dude, did you take my wallet?" He responded, "Yeh, got problem with that!" Mikko then stared him in the eyes and said, "Look, I have my wife and three children here, what are you thinking!" Woman who helped us on the metro said, "Stop, Mafia! Stop, he is mafia!". But the guy seemed to soften up and appologized. It was so loud I couldn't tell what was going on until we got off. Glad I didn't hear...

Second half of our adventure was in the heart of Athens. Walked to the Acropolis, saw Mars Hill, and toward the city. Wish I would have had time to shop...oh well. Some sweet collegues of ours went to Corinth while we watched their kids and then swapped. It was great. The kids enjoyed the beach as we ate yogurt and kebab pita. I lost like 10 pounds, seriously.

We got back home and washed up only to head to camp the following weekend. July is quite busy for us, so I appologize to those who were hoping to connect or hear from us. Right now we are deciding whether to go to So Cal or Nor Cal for fall 2010. There is alot to take into consideration. So please, pray for that. Thanx.

I'm so glad to hear that you had a good time in Greece. We really wish that we could have been there for the "family reunion," but we prayed for everyone lots and lots. We'll be praying for you decision about STAS, too. Take care!
